National Women’s Health Month · A 5-Part Series
Understanding
your body
Most women never receive a real explanation of how their body works. This series is that explanation — written by a physician, for the women in her care.
When patients come to me — whether for the O Shot, for hormone evaluation, or simply because something has changed and no one has been able to explain why — I tell them the same thing: the female orgasm system is genuinely complex.
But “it’s complex” without any context can feel like a polite way of saying nothing. So I want to go further. In this series, I walk through every part of the system — the brain, the hormones, the anatomy, the pelvic floor, and the layer that medicine almost never talks about.
There is a system involved. A real, measurable, biological system. Understanding it is the first step toward changing it.

The diagram that changes everything
When women see this map of the Female Orgasm System for the first time, most of them say the same thing:
“No wonder.”
Because when you see every system, every structure, every hormone, every nerve pathway, and every emotional layer laid out together — you stop blaming yourself. You start understanding yourself.
